Review

Fully booked! Again, around 80 board members and CEOs followed our personal invitation. After a brief review by Sandro V. Gianella, the starting signal was given with an update and a short-term panel on the unexpected, "red hot" latest developments in the political discussion in the Federal Counsil on the revision of stock corporation law. As an introduction to the topics "Challenges for BoDs and Top Management", the results of the annual Knight Gianella BoD Survey 2018/19 were exclusively presented and discussed (download results). The highly topical topics "Cyber - as a strategic corporate risk", "Mechanisms - as a (strategic) support" and "Leadership from the top" were launched by top-class sparring partners and deepened in the breakout sessions. As a special highlight, Joe Kaeser illustrated in his key note his view of this year's motto of the BoD Conference. Under the traditional guidance of Dr. Ing. h.c. Roger de Weck, the fireside talk with Dr. Ing. Peter Maurer was a harmonious highlight on Friday evening.

At the Leaders Breakfast, the new General Secretary, Markus Seiler, presented the current challenges of the Swiss Department of Foreign Affairs in Swiss foreign policy.

The current transformation of their companies was presented and discussed by the CEOs of "Zurich Airport", "Hamilton" and "Hilti". As "final bouquet" Dr. Gerhard Schwarz completed with his economic and state political reflections this 22nd Bad Ragazer BoD Conference.

Of central importance to all participants was, on the one hand, the space for reflection and the personal exchange of experience and ideas, on the other, of course, the opportunity to network among themselves at the highest level.
